Terse Transformation Tales Issue 1
Miss O'Halley was one of the last people on campus late at night, trying to catch up with the work her students had done in her life model class. Their final projects had all come together so beautifully, she wanted to laminate the whole batch. And it would be pointless if she didn't get it done soon, after all, her students would be moving on in the coming week. So she toiled away as everyone else went home, all except for one final custodian, making their way around the grounds in one last sweep of the building.
The machine was big and loud. The tireless teacher thought the school should have replaced the thing long ago, but the budget is what it is. She sighed as one more piece was pulled through the laminator, slowly pressed within the warm plastic cover the machine put over it. She was nearly done, even though it seemed to her as if the stack she had been working on was regenerating somehow.
